The Mets solve my Sleeping Problems

I wish I had some positive things to comment on, but not much is going right in the Mets club house. They are so boring to watch and repeat the same mistakes over and over again. They make it quite easy to fall sleep watching the games. And that's a good thing for me.

When the game started, I was hoping Big Pelf could keep on the roll that's seen him go long in to games. No such luck. He couldn't find the plate, and was constantly behind in the count. With left handed batters hitting around .375 off him, you had to know it would be a long night for him. The defense was sub-par at best. Chavez was constantly out of position, and Castillo couldn't get to any ball that wasn't hit directly to him. If Castillo had made the play in the 3rd inning, Pelfrey gets out of that inning without giving up 3 more runs. Lazy play cost this game.

On another note, Willie has done his best to apologize for his remarks the other day. He says now that he thought the conversation was off the record, and that he didn't mean to bring the "Race Card" into play. Well, that's fine and dandy, but it shows very poor judgement on his part and shows his true feelings. I don't know which of his comments mad me the maddest. The one about there being no Mets fans before he was hired, or the fact that he believes the critics are on his case because he's Black. Either way Willie has ruined his future in NY and will not make the All-Star game if the Mets keep playing like this.

The way the Mets are playing, I can see them winning no more than 4 games the rest of this month. That will force the Wilpon's hand and cost Willie his job. Who do you think gets hired to finish the season? Manual?

IF we only win 4 games the rest of the month Willie is definitely gone. Manuel will be the one to step in.

Look at the schedule. I figure they lose in Atlanta, win 2[maybe] in Colorado, win one against the Fish, and lose 2-3 to the Dodgers. I don't know if the Wilpon's will bring in someone from the farm system, go outside the organization or not. That's why I think Manual will get it short term at least.
