The rules for Victory

Guinness,
Here are the rules again. Tell me which ones the Mets shouldn't follow. The rules should apply to EVERY GAME EVERY DAY!! That's what a manager is for. Somehow I doubt Witless Willie has these hanging anywhere in the dugout or club house.

2- Don't give the Jones duo ANYTHING to hit!!!! They have killed the Mets nearly as often as Pat Burrell has. And we all know how that worked out this week.

3- Pelfrey and Humber need to carry their weight this weekend. They can't allow the Braves to get easy runs and bury the Mets early in the game.

4- Mota, Heilman, Feliciano, Wagner, Sosa, and Scott Schoeneweis need to be used correctly. That means only as needed and not an out more. That might mean only one inning, or one out. Willie has done his best to burn up this pen this year and now it's all messed up.

5- Be careful pitching to Francouer. He's quickly turning into a Met killer too. He's no easy out anymore.

6- When or if the Mets get a Braves' pitcher reeling, they need to BURY HIM!!!! Don't let up. Don't be swinging for the fences when a base hit will do. Too often the Mets [Reyes, Delgadud, Alou', ect.] swing at the first pitch and pop up or fly out. Too many rallies are being killed by hitting weak fly balls.

7- Play Attention!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm tired of see Mets players do stupid things on the bases [Reyes, Milledge, Delgadud ] and in the field. There is no room for error this weekend. The Mets will need every base runner they can get.

Substitute a few names here and there and they should be taken as gospel. Rule #7 is the only one they seem to have problems with. Both Reyes and Gotay got picked off 2nd base. That can't be allowed. Those to base runners could have been needed. Luckly they didn't matter.
