Time to Grow a set OMAR !!!

I said in a Newsday blog earlier today that the Mets would lose this game. I also talked about a NY Post article that was titled "Willie on the Grill". It basically said that "upper Management" could be looking to make changes if the World Series wasn't won, or at least reached. As bad as this sounds, if losing the division and missing the playoffs gets Witless Willie out of NY, here's hoping for a 12 game losing streak.

As soon as I saw Brian Low-Rents was starting, I knew the game was lost. He can't pitch and has no business being in the rotation. In a game that the Mets absolutely needed to win, Witless Willie starts a pitcher who can't keep the opposing team off the board. Pelfrey should have started this game.

The bleeding needed to be stopped. But in the words of Willie "the Phillies aren't in our heads", "we're still in 1st place". Well Willie, not for long. The Phillies are winning, and the Mets are getting smoked. There is no reason why Pelfrey couldn't have pitched tonight, and then Brian Low-rents pitch Wednesday. Hell, forget Pedro's extra rest. I'd have him pitch Wednesday. Willie once again is blowing this season away. The best team has to be put on the field EVERY NIGHT!!! That includes the pitchers !!!!!! And Brian Low-Rents doesn't qualify. And Earlier today, Willie said Humber hasn't an option in any situation. I guess he'd rather give the ball to Low-Rents and Sosa.

Omar needs to grab Willie and tell him the situation, because Willie doesn't seem to grasp the gravity of this trend. Omar needs to put him in his place and tell him his job is on the line. This team has heard laughing and joking before this game, and didn't seemed worried after last night's game. It's the Manager's job to kick some ass and tell people to shape up or there will be changes made. But I bet Willie still doesn't have a locker room trashing after this game. David Wright seems to be the only person on the whole team that actually cares about winning these games.
